Dukan Diet Review
Also termed the Dukan regime, the proteine diet or the Dukan Diet is a super popular new French diet that incorporates a protein heavy regime with a long-term sensible method for maintaining weight loss. The diet was created by Pierre Dukan and has been reportedly been used by over 1 million people in France alone.
The Dukan Diet is a high protein diet. In various stages of the program you will eat more protein than in other stages but the overall focus on protein remains.
Protein is known as a nutrient that can help you feel fuller for a long time, may help to boost metabolism for a short while, and is a building block of muscles. The Dukan Diet has 4 phases you need to go through in order to make the most with this program:
The Dukan Diet has 4 stages:
1. The Attack phase – While on the Attack Phase, you need to eat an all protein diet: steaks, fish, low fat diary, eggs etc. This phase is the hardest portion of the diet, lasts from 1 — 10 days in total (depending on how much weight you have to lose).
2. Cruise phase – During this phase you can also eat vegetables every other day so you have one all-protein day followed by a protein and veggies day. This phase is followed until you lose all your excess weight.
3. Consolidation phase – The most important phase of the entire diet. Maintaining your weight is a challenge with any diet, making this phase ultra-important.
4. Stabilization Phase – On this phase you resume an ordinary way of eating with one exception: you have an all protein day each and every week.
Many people report great results with the Dukan Diet and you can too. Consult your doctor if in doubt and refer to all the information links available for more details of the diet.
